Quiet Days with Soul Care Seattle offer you the opportunity to attend to The Inner Voice, to disconnect, and to rest. Quiet Days offer you the opportunity to be human.
Perhaps you need to rest or nap. Perhaps you need to journal, to read, or maybe kneel in prayer on a kneeler from France that has carried the prayers of the saints for 500 years.
Pray as you stroll through Volunteer Park, or the scenic overlook of Lake Washington, or as you wander the wooded-ravine trails of Interlaken park. For something more formal, pray in the labrynth at St Mark’s or in the stunning and contemplative sanctuary at St Joseph’s. These places of profound beauty are within about a 10 minute walk from The Layne.
Or, maybe you just need to simply sit by one of two fire places.
Work a puzzle waiting for you in the kitchen. Venture downstairs for more solitude where you can sleep, draw, and color. Enjoy the porch swing. Bring your knitting or other project. Most of all, bring yourself – body and spirit. Bring your imagination.
A prayer guide (or you may have your own prayer focus) will be made available and simple lunch will be provided. Spiritual Direction will also be made available (registration link for direction appointments is found on your Quiet Day Confirmation email).
